About Me

Richie has been working with young people since 1992, in a variety of contexts, and in 2000 graduated from Moorlands College with a BA Degree in Applied Theology/Youth Community.

He Worked as a Youth & Children’s Pastor in Berkshire UK and as a Youth work trainer on a degree programme with CYM and most recently with YWAM U of N.

Richie has always had a passion for mission and seeing young people catch their God-given destiny in Christ.

He first caught the radio bug in 1999 when he joined Hope FM for a 28 day broadcast in the summer doing a Saturday show with good friend singer/songwriter Brian Edgeley. Since then he was involved with 16 – 25 year olds in Berkshire UK helping to facilitate a youth radio station, and also in 2006 another youth radio station involving young people on a short term mission with YWAM.

Richie’s first regular involvement in radio was in hospital radio in Nuneaton, England for 3 years presenting request shows, breakfast show.

Currently, since coming to Ireland he is working in Broadcast Operations and is a regular broadcaster on Ireland’s National Christian Radio Station, Spirit Radio.

His heart for local church is really important as a Children’s Pastor he is actively involved in developing & pioneering Children’s ministry in church. This is my first passion and call, radio brought me to Ireland and over the last 10 years he has established himself both in a local church context and a national focus across Ireland.

2021 starts with what some might say is a misfire, being diagnosed with a Rectum tumour end of 2020 has just completed radio & chemo therapy in January. This is an opportunity to refocus, and enter into a new season of what the Lord is calling Richie too. This includes returning to support based ministry and reconnecting with YWAM KKI to Champion the next generation to go further in Christ. If you are interested in becoming a team partner to pray and support Richie, releasing him into ministry call then please get in touch.
