Help, people laughing at me!

Psalm 40:1-2 (NIV), Psalm 40:5-6 (NIV), Psalm 40:8 (NIV), Psalm 40:15 (NIV), John 3:16 (NIV)

Do you sometimes feel that people are laughing at you because of your faith? Perhaps you waiting for the Lord to act in your life? You are patiently trusting Him despite people around mocking you or laughing at you – or at least that’s how you feel on the inside!?!

This psalm opens with a declaration of patient & expectant waiting which paid off! (v1) “He heard my cry…” & “gave me a firm place to stand…” (v2)

Yet in the waiting it can feel isolated, lonely (v15) people scoffing but take heart my friend the Lord will come through:

-Be patient (v1) he hears your hearts cry!
-Your motivation is internal (v8) springing from the law written on your heart!
-Remember the wonders He has done for you so far (v5)
-Grace is enough (v6)

Therefore when you feel isolated and there’s people around you laughing remember these things and have faith and trust in the one who loves you so much! John 3:16 recite this and instead of world speak out your name as a prayer of thanks and expectant declaration to the king of kings!
