Fly me to the moon – official trailer

NASA landed an American on the moon or did they?

Did NASA fake the moon landing?

Synopsis

Fly me to the moon is fun comedy-drama based in the late 60’s posing that question in the backdrop of the historic Apollo 19 moon landing.

Starring Scarlett Johnson, Playing Kelly Jones, as a wannabe entrepreneur in advertising kinda faking her way into NASA and is a fun-loving delightful story of intrigue, boldness & way-out cheekiness! NASA needs good publicity and its a fight-off between the launch director Cole Director played by Channing Tatum, who fails to see the need for Kelly Jones – maybe cause she’s a women trying to make it in the 60’s, and is tasked by the White House to create a fake moon-landing back-up, so the countdown begins!

My review

Fun, not laugh-out loud comedy but some fun quips and comical moments, probably the kind of film you need to watch more than once to see them all. I love the NASA black cat which superstitious Cole seems very weary off as this cat drops in pretty much everywhere and that in itself is a good comical feature of the film – definitely watch out for the cat!

Reflective small group questions —

Reality, trust and truth and some questions that could be raised after watching with your youth group:

What does it mean to be integral in work life? Did Kelly have integrity in her job in NASA?

What was the difference between Kelly in her outlook to live with integrity at the start and end?

When we have passion for something, there can be the danger of walking over others to get to where we want to go. How can we both live with integrity and at the same time be motivated with the passion we have for what we want to do?
