Update January 2025: I’ve been thankfully made redundant from Spirit Radio, giving me more time to pursue God’s call on my life.
Although I’m currently not so active in ministry in this time out I still rely on support income recognising that part of my calling goes back to when I was 18/19:
Levitical calling
I remember in the factory where I was working on testing printed circuit boards saying to the Lord as they announced changes to their pension scheme, “Lord I don’t want to be in this job for life instead Lord here I am I am yours let me go where you lead” or at least a prayer to that effect. So in that I recognise I gave up the right to a vocational job, with a big salary instead like the Levites call to carry His presence, and live by faith and first and foremost ministry before the Lord takes priority. (1 Peter 2:5ff, Malachi 2:5-7). It all started when God led me to do a YWAM DTS in London in 1989.
Mission support & tent-making
This enables me to serve God I see my mission support, along with support jobs I’ve been able to do supporting radio software along with my employed income with Spirit Radio goes along way to give me a fair income to live and focus on the things the Lord is calling me too do at this time.
Resources coming together
Through your support and connections God has given me, some of my vision for things like schoolradio.ie is a step closer as I basically have a full radio station Mix Radio which I use for training & support currently but can also be used to start developing schoolradio.ie where school groups could have their own show! Now I don’t know when this will be, or it may even be something I pass on to someone else, however the foundation is there and I trust the Lord to bring the right person to me to team up with. He has done already for the Sunday Morning Worship podcast which has now got 6 episodes published!
