What do you value?
Psalms 119:37 (NET)
So often we talk of revival yet our focus is all to often drawn away to other distractions! Yes?
This morning v37 hit me! How often do we get distracted by worthless things – and I don’t necessarily mean inappropriate material but even the everyday distractions like checking out the latest smart phones, or the new car specs we dream about owning one day!
When I consider those things that distract me I have to ask myself: Am I showing value more to temporary and worthless things? And how are these things reviving my heart – because as I ponder I am coming to realise that I actually think these things are a form of revival, at least temporarily they awaken something in me!
However, true revival comes from spending time in God’s word! v36 true revivalgives a real desire for God’s kingdom rule and it starts in our hearts!
Finally, a question I ask myself, what am I valuing? I will always make time for what I value! Is God’s word so valueable to me I want to daily eat it so that it revives in me His kingdom so that I may live the desires he gives me from the inside out!
Bring it on Lord! Revive me today!

It’s so easy to find one-self getting side-tracked on the least important things! Perhaps limiting Facebook time to just one hour a day – and asking people not to send me urgent messages on Facebook but use traditional method of email & phone!?!
